The First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre was opened in 2000 under the name of the Tweeter Center. With seating for up to 28,000 the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre gives residents of Chicago a goto summer venue for outdoor concerts. The facility was formerly named Tweeter Center Chicago, World Music Theater and New World Music Theater. It is commonly known as a great outdoor music venue pulling fans from the city of Chicago as well surrounding suburbs, and even neighboring states. Due to its location in the Chicago metro area, the theatre is an ample site for visitors from all of Chicagoland and is one of only a few large outdoor amphitheatres in the Chicago area.
